body of dead people that Egyptians were so good at. Remember that they did you use it with

everyone, and this skill was particularly important because it helped them develop their knowledge of

medicine, which was certainly very advanced.

Then think about everything you have seen and answer:

1) Why was the mummification process important for Egyptians?

2) Were all people mummified when they died? Why?

5) What were the canopic jars?

Christianity was one of the many religions in the vast Roman Empire. In the beginning, its followers were mainly poor people and slaves, but over time this religion spread throughout the entire empire.

1) Why do you think some Romans found Jesus' teachings rather "alarming"?

2) What did the Roman emperor Nero do to Christians?

3) Why did this religion spread in spite of everything?


The Fall of the Empire

1) Identify the 4 main issues that led to the decline of the Roman Empire, and explain them briefly.

2) How did Diocletian try to stop the decline?

3) Why was Constantine important?

4) Who invaded and captured Rome in the end?
