The students from 1st year Secondary School had a virtual meeting with students from a secondary school of Chicago. The activity consisted of both groups making questions of different kinds, so that they could get to know each other and find cultural differences and similarities. In this way, our students practised their English using the structures seen in class, while the students in the USA had the chance to learn about our culture, since the subject they are taking is World Studies. All in all, the kids could share information about their personal perferences, their cities, the sports they practise, the artists they admire, among others. We were even delighted to listen to one of our students and to a student form Chicago sing their favourite songs. We had a lot of fun! So, we want to read you all. What did you think about the experence? How did you feel about it? We'll be waiting for your comments!

Ancient China: The Teachings of Confucius

Hi kids! We will watch this video in class with some of the most important teachings of Confucius. Although he himself never wrote down any of his ideas, his students gathered a collection of his sayings after his death. These writings made up a philosophy, or system of beliefs and values, known as Confucianism.

A real treasure of wise ideas to think about...
