- Classification of vertebrates and invertebrates. Includes 5 classes of vertebrates: fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals (know their characteristics and difference, sp skin cover, way or reproducing and breathing) and invertebrates: annelids, molluscs and arthropods: insects, arachnids, crustaceans and myriapods (know their characteristics and differences - sp type and number of legs).

- Species and variation. Definition of species, naming species. Meaning of variation (inherited and environmental). Continuous and discontinuous variation. Selection

- Ecosystems: habitat, population, community, ecosystem, environment, abiotic and biotic factors. Food chain/ web.

Extinction...

"A species becomes extinct when the last existing member dies". Extinction therefore becomes a certainty when there are no surviving individuals that are able to reproduce and create a new generation...
