Después de estudiar las características, expansión y división del Imperio, los alumnos se centraron en el legado dejado por esta cultura en el aspecto tecnológico. Lo que sigue es parte del trabajo realizado.

Conectados con el mundo...

Los alumnos de 1ro secundaria tuvieron un encuentro virtual via Skype con alumnos de una escuela secundaria de Chicago. La actividad consistía en que ambos grupos prepararan preguntas de distinta índole para que pudieran conocerse y encontrar diferencias y similitudes culturales. De esta manera, nuestros alumnos practicaron Inglés utilizando las estructuras vistas en clases, mientras que los alumnos de USA se enriquecieron aprendiendo sobre nuestra cultura ya que la materia que cursan es World Studies. Fue así como los chicos pudieron compartir información sobre sus gustos personales, sus ciudades, los deportes que practican, los artistas que admiran, entre otras cosas. Incluso tuvimos el placer de escuchar a una de nuestras alumnas y a una alumna de Chicago entonar sus canciones preferidas. Nos divertimos mucho!

 The students from 1st year Secondary School had a virtual meeting with students from a secondary school of Chicago. The activity consisted of both groups making questions of different kinds, so that they could get to know each other and find cultural differences and similarities. In this way, our students practised their English using the structures seen in class, while the students in the USA had the chance to learn about our culture, since the subject they are taking is World Studies. All in all, the kids could share information about their personal perferences, their cities, the sports they practise, the artists they admire, among others. We were even delighted to listen to one of our students and to a student form Chicago sing their favourite songs. We had a lot of fun! So, we want to read you all. What did you think about the experence? How did you feel about it? We'll be waiting for your comments!

Project Work. November 18 : Avant Premiere of our Films!

Next Monday 18 of November we will share the films you made in groups and analyse them together. So get ready to have a wonderful afternoon watching movies of all kinds. You can prepare popcorn and bring it to enjoy with the rest ofthe class if you wish!

DRAMA NEWS : Countdown on Concert 2013!!

Dear students, 

A few weeks to go for our next Concert 2013: Hercules: A True Hero.
 I really want to congratulate every one for your daily work on this school project. You are showing great commitment and cooperation in the making-of, the acting, dancing and singing rehearsals and that makes me feel so proud of you all! 
Some weeks ago, we started receiving your designs of Hercules which show how creative designers you are!
Last week, we recorded the group songs. During the recording sessions you all worked with enthusiasm and respect. Good for you! We also started making the scenery with a group of 2nd Year students who worked in order and took very good care of the materials they are preparing.
 Next week, we´ll have our first general rehearsal ! So let´s get ready with all the props you need.
 I hope you enjoy the project as much as I do!

Ancient Egypt - Mummification process

body of dead people that Egyptians were so good at. Remember that they did you use it with

everyone, and this skill was particularly important because it helped them develop their knowledge of

medicine, which was certainly very advanced.

TP1 : Prácticas del Lenguaje

Hola chicos, les recuerdo que el viernes 3 es la fecha de presentación del TP1 de PL que compartí con ustedes a través de Google Docs (quien no lo haya recibido consulte con un comapañero).

Remember next Friday 26th, your are having the test on units 1 and 2. You need to study Simple Past and Past Continuous and Simple Present and Present Continuous. Also, the vocabulary from both units.

Tomorrow we'll be making some revision together, so bring your doubts! And, for those who already have access, start completing your workbook online. It will be good practice for your test.
